You can help Toilegami get published.

We, the authors, are unknown little people to the big publishers.

Were we to take this origami project through normal channels, it might be many years before Toilegami sees the shelves of your local bookstore.

So we need a different way to get attention from publishers.

And that's where you come in.

Have you ever had a friend forward you the latest joke, political scandal, or funny story?

You know the kind. It's been forwarded six times before it got to you:

Perhaps you've forewarded such messages yourself.

Or maybe not.

But have you ever noticed how quickly and widely those messages can SPREAD?

Well, we got to thinking about this, and it dawned on us ...

... even publishers probably get the latest jokes and scandals from their friends.

So we thought, "Why not?"

We'll put our book up on the web, and develop it before people's eyes.

If people like it, they can tell all their friends, and their friends will tell the rest of their friends, and pretty soon it will be the latest buzz, and...

...someone will tell a publisher.

Or better yet, a few publishers.

Or better yet, Dave Barry, Steve Martin, Ringo Starr, and Jay Leno.

Glad you asked.

Your mission, if you choose to accept it, is to send a message to some of your friends telling them about the book, and directing them to the site.

If you compose a new email message, you could start with something like:

"Check out this site, it's pretty funny. Just go to http://www.toilegami.com/ "

But it would be even better if you continued,

"...They're trying to get a book published. My favorite part is ..."

to send an email message to your friends from this site.

Of course some of you will be reading this because someone else already sent you a message about this site. In that case, you could just forward the message to friends who still need to see it.

You probably can't do it personally. But just think. By telling your friends about this book, you could be A LINK in the chain of messages that gets to Dave Barry!

In fact, here's an idea. How about this.

If Dave Barry, Steve Martin, Ringo Starr or Jay Leno agree to write our foreword, ...

...and they present us with the email message that brought the project to their attention, ...

...we will try to make sure that everyone who was a link in the chain of senders of that email message gets a free autographed copy of Toilegami,

--if and when it hits the shelves, that is.

Maybe we can con our famous foreword writer into autographing the books, too.
